the heat is oppressive. this sucks.

i was listening to an interview with lena dunhnam who is smart as fuck, clearly. and this happens when smart people start talking, i just buy into whatever they are saying. because it sounds good and eloquent and thought through. much more so with people in person, at work, i don't even question it... but on the radio, you'd think you i would be more critical and not so washed over. but if somebody sounds SUPER smart, which she did, you know, it just sounds right. anyway personal inferiority aside, she was making shitloads of sense. until she started talking about young people being socially engaged and somehow uttered the words, "... because ideas don't kill people." and for a half second, i was like, "yea."

and then just being free thinking for one moment, if ideas don't ultimately kill people, what the fuck does?
